Groxo Organiser Terms
By ticking the checkbox you agree to these terms in full.
1. Accurate event listings

All event information you publish on Groxo — including title, date, time, venue, location, description, pricing, and capacity — must be accurate and kept up to date. You must not list events that are speculative, unconfirmed, or subject to material change without updating the listing promptly.

If an event is cancelled, postponed, or moved to a different venue, you must update the listing immediately and notify all registered participants directly.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not list or promote:

  • Events that are fraudulent, misleading, or do not exist.
  • Events designed to collect registrations or payments without intention to deliver.
  • Events that violate any applicable law, including those promoting discrimination, hate speech, or illegal activity.
  • Events where the proceeds fund illegal or harmful activity.
  • Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights (e.g. using a club or league name without authorisation).

Groxo reserves the right to remove any listing that it considers, in its sole discretion, to be in breach of these rules — without prior notice.

3. Organiser responsibilities to attendees

As the organiser, you are solely responsible for the delivery of your event. This includes:

  • Ensuring the venue is booked, accessible, and safe for the advertised number of participants.
  • Obtaining all necessary permits, licences, and insurance required by local law.
  • Communicating clearly with registered participants before and during the event.
  • Handling ticket refunds fairly and in accordance with your stated refund policy.
  • Treating all participants with respect and without discrimination.
4. Compliance with local laws

You are responsible for ensuring your event complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws. This includes — but is not limited to — health and safety regulations, public gathering permits, data protection laws, consumer rights legislation, and any sport-specific governing body rules.

Groxo does not provide legal advice. If you are unsure whether your event requires specific licences or permits, you should consult a qualified legal professional.

5. Consequences of violation

If Groxo determines, at its sole discretion, that you have violated these terms, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Event removal: the listing is taken down immediately with no prior notice.
  • Account suspension: your account is temporarily disabled pending investigation.
  • Permanent ban: your account and any associated accounts are permanently terminated. This applies especially to fraudulent listings or repeat violations.
  • Reporting: where fraud or criminal activity is suspected, we may refer the matter to relevant authorities.
6. No liability for event quality or cancellations

Groxo is a platform that connects organisers with fans. We do not organise, co-organise, or take any operational responsibility for events listed by third parties. Groxo makes no warranty as to the quality, safety, or fitness for purpose of any event.

Groxo is not liable to participants for event cancellations, last-minute changes, poor organisation, or any loss, injury, or damage arising from attendance at an event listed on the platform. Participants engage with your event at their own risk, and all disputes are between you and the participant.

About Groxo

The home of sports events.

Groxo connects sports fans with the events they love — from local 5-a-side tournaments to international championships — and gives organisers a single place to publish, manage, and grow their events.

Our mission

Sport brings people together. Whether you're lacing up your boots for a Sunday league match, crossing a marathon finish line, or cheering from the stands at a packed stadium, the shared experience of live sport is unlike anything else.

Groxo exists to make that experience easier to find and easier to join. We believe that too many great events go undiscovered, and too many potential participants never register simply because the process is fragmented. Our mission is to fix that — for everyone.

For fans

Browse hundreds of upcoming sports events filtered by sport, location, date, or entry type. Register to compete or buy tickets to spectate — all in one place. Save events to your favourites, track your registrations, and build your sports profile over time.

For organisers

List your event in minutes. Whether you're running a grassroots tournament, a city marathon, or a professional league match, Groxo gives you the tools to publish your event, manage ticket tiers, and reach an audience of sports enthusiasts who are actively looking for their next event.

Organisers go through a lightweight verification process to protect the community and ensure every listing is legitimate. Verified organisers get a badge on their profile and access to additional features.

Built for Europe, open to the world

Groxo launched in 2025 with a focus on European sports events across football, running, tennis, cycling, and more. We support multi-currency ticketing and are expanding to new regions and sports categories throughout 2026.

2. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission. Notify us immediately at hello@groxo.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

3. Fan conduct

As a fan, you agree to:

  • Use Groxo only for lawful purposes.
  • Provide accurate information when registering for events.
  • Not transfer registrations to other individuals unless explicitly permitted by the event organiser.
  • Comply with the rules and requirements of each event you attend or participate in.
  • Not use the platform to harass, threaten, or impersonate any person.

4. Organiser responsibilities

Organisers who list events on Groxo agree to:

  • Ensure all event information (date, venue, price, description) is accurate and up to date.
  • Deliver the event as advertised, or notify registered participants promptly of any changes or cancellations.
  • Comply with all applicable local laws, including health and safety regulations, event licensing requirements, and consumer protection rules.
  • Not list fraudulent, misleading, or non-existent events. Doing so may result in immediate account termination and referral to relevant authorities.
  • Handle participant data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Groxo reserves the right to remove any event listing at its sole discretion if it appears to violate these Terms or poses a risk to users.

5. Payments and refunds

Groxo facilitates ticket purchases but is not the merchant of record for third-party events. Refund policies are set by individual organisers. If you believe you are entitled to a refund for an event that was cancelled or materially misrepresented, please contact the organiser directly. If you are unable to resolve the dispute, contact us at hello@groxo.app and we will do our best to assist.

6. No guarantee of event quality

Groxo is a discovery and registration platform. We do not organise, control, or take responsibility for the events listed by third-party organisers. We make no warranties about the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any event listing. Participation in any event is at your own risk.

7. Intellectual property

All Groxo branding, design, and original content is the property of Groxo and may not be reproduced without written permission. By uploading content (e.g. event images, profile photos) you grant Groxo a non-exclusive licence to display that content in connection with the platform.

8. Account termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or conduct that we reasonably determine is harmful to other users or the platform. You may delete your own account at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Groxo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or attendance at any event. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Groxo in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of Groxo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 January 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Groxo collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our platform. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Hungarian data protection law.

1. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Event interaction data: events you register for, favourites you save, and tickets you purchase.
  • Organiser data: business or club name, contact email, event listings, and identity verification documents submitted during the verification process.
  • Usage data: pages visited, search queries, filter selections, and timestamps — collected automatically to improve the platform.
  • Device data: browser type, operating system, and IP address — collected automatically for security and analytics purposes.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and operate the Groxo platform, including account management, event discovery, and registration.

  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3. How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:

  • Event organisers: when you register for their event, they receive the information necessary to process your registration (name, email, and any details you provided).
  • Infrastructure providers: Groxo uses Supabase as its backend infrastructure provider. Data is stored on Supabase-managed servers in the European Union. Supabase processes data on our behalf and is bound by appropriate data processing agreements.
  • Payment processors: when you purchase a ticket, payment data is handled by our payment provider (Stripe). Groxo does not store your payment card details.
  • Legal authorities: if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users.

4. Cookies and local storage

Groxo uses browser local storage to maintain your session and remember your preferences (such as your selected filters). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Essential session cookies may be set by our infrastructure provider (Supabase) to authenticate your account.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal profile data will be removed within 30 days. Some data may be retained for longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. records of financial transactions).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and Hungarian data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@groxo.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Groxo is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has registered, please contact us at hello@groxo.app.
